Buying An Olivetti Photocopier in Essex

Before Olivetti Photocopiers
At Essex Business Machines, Olivetti Photocopiers such as the D-Copia, the D-Color, the PGL Range and the OFX Range are among our strongest products here in Essex today.
Olivetti produced Italy’s first computer in 1959, and in the same year bought the Underwood Typwriter company. In 1964 it sold its electronics division to General Electric, where it produced one of the world’s first personal computers.
The Rise Of The Olivetti Photocopier
Olivetti sold computers for over two decades, beginning with the IBM PC and the BBC Micro in 1982. In 1995, however, it was becoming clear that their business model was not suited to the emergent PC market.
Their attempt to reclaim ground with the Olivetti Envision came in 1995, just as the market for cheap PC clones was really starting to kick in. The high profession standards to which Olivetti had committed themselves now started to work against them, and in 1997 the company’s PC wing was finally sold.
Today, the company sells a range of business machines including cash machines, printers, cash registers and – of course – Olivetti Photocopiers. It has arms and distributors in eighty-three countries, and we are proud to be providing Olivetti Photocopiers to the county of essex.
