How it works:
At EBM, we help our clients reduce their impact on the environment. As such:
- EBM collect used ink/toner and consumables to recycle them. That is to say we work with our manufacturers and the UK Green Centre to recycle and reduce device waste.
- Once a year, EBM calculate the CO2 produced by each client’s print operations. This includes the power used to run the printer and diesel used for site visits. This is invested in a Quality Assurance Standard (QAS)-verified offset project on behalf of our clients.
- Clients receive a yearly report detailing the CO2 calculations and a certificate to evidence their offset.
Furthermore, the scheme is free of charge to our managed print clients on Advanced and Premium Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
What else are EBM doing?
EBM believe in working greener. For instance, we have offset our own CO2 emissions, each year since 2018. And our updated Environmental Policy sets out our plans going forward.
In addition, EBM recycles end-of-life machines. In the first three months of 2019, this stopped 1.76 tonnes of waste from going to landfill.
